Here are 20 tips to help you move toward your highest potential:
1. Live in Truth
This can be hard to do in a materialistic society that lies to us constantly about what makes us worthy. What is even more challenging, is that many of our closest relationships may not even be a safe space to express ourselves honestly.
Yet, it is only in the light of truth that real progress can be made. The more honest we are in relationships, the more likely we are to attract the right people into our lives.
2. Align Your Life with YOUR Values
Take time to reflect on what matters to you most. Ensure that your thoughts, words, behaviours, and choices are aligned with your deepest priorities and values.
3. SHED OLD LIMITING BELIEFS AND UNCONSCIOUS BIASES
See yourself and others as a blank canvas with unlimited potential.
Feeling blocked or disconnected may be a sign that we need to rewrite the story we tell ourselves about who we are.
Many of our core beliefs and ideas have been shaped by society and the people around us. Stay conscious of your internal dialogue so you can continually upgrade old programming.
4. Practice Self-Awareness
Consciously observe your own behaviours and verbal/nonverbal communication. What message do you send to others with your tone of voice, eye contact, and body language?
Know your strengths and weaknesses. What areas would you like to grow?
To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom.
Socrates
5. Learn the Art of Self-Coaching
Take time to ask yourself powerful questions. For example, if you are feeling anxious about a situation or relationship, ask yourself what you’re afraid of and/or what you feel is causing resistance.
Life coaching involves asking powerful questions to help guide you to the answers within.
6. Create a Daily Mindfulness Routine
Learn how to train your mind to stay in the present moment. Stay conscious of whether your thoughts are draining you, or energizing and empowering you.
A daily wellness routine can help you to remain grounded and focused throughout the week. Make time for self-care.
7. Do Shadow Work
We all have a shadow that embodies our repressed emotions, thoughts, instincts, desires, and/or any aspects of ourselves that we find unlovable or unacceptable. Learn how to weave unconditional love into the fabric of your being.
Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
C.G. Jung
8. Love Your Body
Our bodies communicate constantly, we just need to stop and listen. How does the food you eat make you feel? Eat a diet rich in a variety of organic fruits, vegetables, and legumes to nourish your mind and body, and integrate a daily self-care routine to help reduce stress, tension, and anxiety. Regular, moderate exercise and stretching can help to boost your mood and maintain physical wellness.
Connect with your body. Allocate time each day to enhance the mind-body connection using meditation:
While sitting in silence, slowly scan your entire body (from head to toe) to identify and release any areas of tension using deep breathing techniques and/or visualization.
9. Practice Self-Love
Love yourself unconditionally; the same way a parent loves a child. Practicing self-love, self-compassion, and self-acceptance gives other people silent permission to do the same.
Self-love is not just a gift to ourselves but to the world as well. Many of the toxic behaviours we experience from other people stem from insecurity, feelings of inadequacy, and an overall lack of self-love.
It is also not possible to treat other people better than we treat ourselves; we will always project what is going on inside of us.
Know your intrinsic worth and invest in your own happiness, wellness, and success.
Worthy Now. Not if. Not when. We are worthy of love and belonging now. Right this minute. As is.
Brené Brown
10. Practice Forgiveness of Yourself and Others
When we make a mistake, feeling guilty can help to let us know we acted against our values. However, once the lesson is learned, we have to forgive ourselves; if we do not, then guilt will turn into toxic shame. Shame prevents us from moving on and evolving from the mistake.
Just as it is important to forgive ourselves, we also need to forgive others in the same way. We can choose to be a safe space for people to make mistakes and learn lessons while still protecting our own healthy boundaries.
Forgiving people from the past, who may have hurt you unapologetically, helps to set you free from them psychologically; do it for yourself.
11. Understand YOur Interconnectedness With All Things
Everything is connected; the ripple effect we have on the world is immeasurable.

Spending time outdoors helps to declutter the mind and maintain a sense of wellness.
13. Protect Human Rights, Animal Rights, and Environmental Rights
Help to create a more civilized, sustainable society by electing leaders who are committed to creating equal opportunity for all, protecting the vulnerable, and reversing the damage that has been done to the planet.
Everyone, particularly our future generations, deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential.
14. Keep Your Vibration High
Happiness is a choice we make everyday. Learn how to hack negative thought patterns to attract the abundance you deserve.
15. Conquer Unhealthy Habits and Addictions
Identify any habits that are unhealthy and preventing you from reaching your goals. Seek out support it needed.
Take a moment to visualize your life without the unhealthy habit . . . what do you see?
16. Maintain Healthy Boundaries
Be assertive; sometimes we have to teach people how to treat us. Avoid people-pleasing just to keep the peace when it might be your well-being at stake. Maintain your sense of self; stop to ask yourself what you really want in every situation—saying “no” can be an act of self-love.
17. Practice Empathy
Even when you do not agree with someone, acknowledging and understanding the inner feelings of others lays the foundation for an authentic connection in communication.
18. Follow Your Passion
Seek out hobbies or work that has meaning to you and speaks to you directly. What work/hobby makes you feel inspired?
19. Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
Do you have dreams or goals that feel unattainable or too good to be true? Growth and change can be scary, but the prospect of things staying the same if you are unsatisfied, or outright miserable, is even more scary. You owe it to yourself to challenge your fears. The world is waiting for you to step into your power.
20. Keep Moving Forward
Life is hard—it is easy to feel overwhelmed sometimes. Feelings do pass; give yourself the time you need to move through painful emotions, without resistance, so that you can come out on the other side with new insights and wisdom.
Find what inspires you and keep taking steps toward your goals. Small steps lead to big results over time.
